This week we focused on pitching and how to create an effective pitch.

We asked questions such as:

  • What is the USP?

  • Who is in charge?

  • What is it Worth?

As a task, I wrote a rough pitch for a previous project that I developed for my second year project. It was interesting thinking of my idea from a selling point of view, not a storytelling point of view.

This was very useful to me as I would like to improve and learn the idea of the authorial role of produce/writer/director, so taking a step back and thinking about a project from a selling point was refreshing.

I would like to improve my pitching skills more, as it is a large part of the role I want to pursue.
